Morgue Miners was Allen Thompson's foray in forming a band. Armed with only a guitar he was joined by Joseph Dobay on vocals. The duo wrote two songs titled "Butterfly" and "57", the latter dedicated to his father's love for the 1957 Chevorlet. "Butterfly" was written by both Joseph & Allen and was a caricature of not the winged insect, but a butterfly knife. Not much exists in this time period aside from an extremely lo-fi demo that contains both the aforementioned tracks and a video interview produced by Rick Storc at what was then dubbed The Morgue Studios. This is an attempt to archive this band as it properly exists alongside the thousands of other bedroom, lo-fi and amateur artists.
